Privacy Policy
Last Updated: September 2026
At Thanvi Enterprise ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you visit our website (thanvienterprise.com) or inquire about our agricultural machinery and equipment, and describes your rights as a "Data Principal" under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDPA) and its 2025 Rules.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when requesting price quotes or technical specifications, including:
- Personal Details: Name, farm or business name, and location.
- Contact Information: Mobile phone numbers and email addresses.
- Inquiry Details: Specific machine requirements (e.g., Gokul Chaff Cutters, Pulverizers).
2. How We Use Your Information
We use collected data solely for legitimate business operations:
- To respond to equipment inquiries and issue official price estimates.
- To coordinate freight, transport, and equipment dispatch from our Raipur depot.
- To provide after-sales support and warranty servicing.
3. Legal Basis for Processing & Your Consent
Under the DPDPA, we process your personal data on the basis of your consent — given when you voluntarily fill an inquiry form, call, or message us on WhatsApp with your details. We only ask for the personal data listed in Section 1, only for the specific purposes listed in Section 2, and we do not use it for any unrelated purpose without asking you again.
You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us using the details in Section 9. If you do, we will stop using your data for any purpose that isn't already required by law (for example, records we must keep for tax or accounting purposes) — though withdrawing consent before we've responded to an active inquiry may mean we're unable to complete that quote or delivery.
4. Cookies and Analytics
We may use standard analytics tools to monitor site performance and improve user experience. You can modify your browser settings to reject cookies if preferred.
5. Location Detection for Calculators and Language Options
Our online calculators (such as the Chaff Cutter and Pulverizer machine selectors) can automatically suggest your State and District to save you time, using your device's IP address and third-party IP geolocation services to estimate your approximate location. The same approximate-location check is also used to offer visitors from Indian states a one-tap option to read a page in Hindi or other Indian languages via Google's translation service, local weather note, and to suggest chaff cutter and pulverizer pages for your nearest city. — we do not receive, log, or store your IP address or this location data ourselves. The suggestion is only a starting point: you can always change the State or District if it is incorrect, which can happen for remote or rural areas, and the language option can be dismissed at any time.
6. Data Retention
We keep the personal data you share with us only for as long as it is needed to respond to your inquiry, complete a sale or delivery, and provide after-sales/warranty support for the equipment you bought — or for longer where Indian law (such as tax or accounting rules) requires us to keep certain records. Once none of these apply, we delete or anonymize the data, or you may request its erasure sooner as described in Section 8.
7. Data Protection & Sharing
We never sell or rent user details to third parties. Information is only shared with logistics carriers for the sole purpose of product delivery, and with the automated third-party tools described in this policy (such as analytics and location-detection services) strictly to operate the features they support.
8. Your Rights as a Data Principal (DPDP Act, 2023)
As a Data Principal under the DPDPA, you have the right to:
- Access a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how it's being used.
- Correction of any personal data that is inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.
- Erasure of your personal data once it's no longer needed for the purpose it was collected for (see Section 6).
- Withdraw consent for us to process your data, at any time (see Section 3).
- Nominate another individual to exercise these rights on your behalf in the event of your death or incapacity.
- Grievance redressal — to raise a complaint with us about how we've handled your data, and, if unresolved, to escalate it to India's Data Protection Board.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 9. We will acknowledge and respond to your request within a reasonable time.
