What Guar Gum Is Used For
Guar gum powder is a widely traded thickening and stabilizing agent used in food processing, textile sizing, paper manufacturing, and -- notably -- as a viscosifier in oil and gas drilling fluids. It's one of India's larger processed agricultural export commodities, ground from split guar (cluster bean) seed at dedicated processing units.
